Chief Operating Officer

Kathy founded Permit Pushers in 1994 after working as a permit technician for Yavapai County. With firsthand knowledge of the approval process, she launched Arizona’s first permit expediting firm. Today, Permit Pushers is a family business serving clients nationwide.

Chief Executive Officer

James is a Northern Arizona native with degrees in Public Planning and Urban and Environmental Planning. He spent a decade as a public sector planner and has consulted for agencies including the City of Tucson, the Navajo Nation, the US Forest Service, and the Department of Defense.

Project Facilitator

Melinda graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Marketing and spent over 20 years at a manufacturing startup, ultimately serving as Chief Marketing Officer. She now brings her project management and customer service experience to support the growth of Permit Pushers.

Permit Coordinator

Shannon is a lifelong Hoosier with a degree in Secondary Education from Indiana University and is currently pursuing an HR degree. She spent 14 years teaching technology and most recently worked in the Building Department of a growing municipality.

Administrative Assistant

Sedona Ortega is a student at Reed College and recently interned with the City of Prescott’s Community Development Department, supporting Planning and Zoning initiatives. She has also volunteered with AmeriCorps and The Launch Pad Teen Center and has taken on leadership roles in school and community projects.

Civil Engineer

Janet Johnson is a licensed Professional Engineer in Alabama with over 15 years of civil design experience across the United States. Her work spans residential, commercial, and industrial projects, and she leads CivilWorx, a Woman Owned Enterprise.

Permit Technician

Veronica is based in Phoenix and has experience running her own business, along with a strong background in administration and coordination. She holds a degree in sustainability and is currently pursuing urban planning studies at ASU.
